P90X Round 2 Progress: Day 30-ish
A little more than a month ago, I started my second round of P90X. This is the first, albeit delayed, update on my progress so far. Hopefully this will motivate more people to get up and get active.
What's different this time?
This time, I'm doing a few things differently. P90X comes with a suggested food plan and I'm doing my best to follow it as closely as possible. Beachbody has a selection of nutrients and supplements available to aide health and performance. I'm currently using the strength formula, protein bars, recovery drink, and multivitamins.
The progress
For comparison, I'm going to use my measurements from the end of my last round of P90X. Despite the two week break between stopping and starting, my body didn't really change.
My starting measurements:
- Chest: 38"
- Waist: 32"
- Hips: 34"
- Left thigh: 19.5"
- Right thigh: 19.75"
- Left arm: 11"
- Right arm: 11.5"
- Total body fat: 8%
After 30 days, my measurements are:
- Chest: 38.5"
- Waist: 32.5"
- Hips: 34"
- Left thigh: 20.5"
- Right thigh: 20.5"
- Left arm: 11.5"
- Right arm: 11.75"
- Total body fat: 5.7%
To some, that may not seem like much. Compared to my 3 month total change from last time, this is huge! My muscles have grown more in a third of the time and I'm still losing body fat! It's only going to get better from here.
